Does your body need coaching?
More and more people sense that something in their life needs to change. This feeling manifests itself in various ways. The person going through this change process however does not always associate some of these feelings. Whether you recognize them or not, the following symptoms are or could be related to the change process: insomnia, low energy levels, restlessness, not happy in what one is presently doing, a feeling of being unfulfilled and spread thinly at the end of the day, having thoughts that there must be more to life than this, (having) and other various physical ailments for which there is no particular underlying pathological condition for example, backache, kidney problems, breathing problems…just to name a few.
Those of us who are not sure where to look or how to deal with this inner urge to change are more and more seeking or are running around with the idea to see a personal or life coach to help them to overcome the present state of mind that they are in. Together with the coach they learn to identify personal goals and together they set up a strategy or action plan to achieve these goals. The coach monitors the progress and the implementation of the action plan.
Coaching is directing, instructing and training mind and spirit, aligning them towards the same goal.
What I see happening however with people who are facing a change process or already find themselves within this process, is that they are suffering from numerous aches, pains, illnesses… and in most cases it is through these corporal stress factors that they get distressed, dispirited, frustrated, short tempered… They don’t understand… What is happening? At times feeling worse after coaching than before.
Here is what is possibly happening: a mutation or a metamorphosis of your body. With body I mean that magnificent machine that you are with all its layers, the dense structures made from cells but also the subtle ones like character, thoughts, emotions... The denser the structure of your body is - the slower the change process is. Change on the mind and spirit level can happen fast but for the same change to be incarnated on the structural, physical level it can take time- hence the various symptoms and discomforts. We are holistic beings whose structure directs the function (of what?) and where function creates the structure. Meaning whatever changes in one part; be it body, mind or spirit, this will inevitably cause change in the other parts but not necessarily at the same speed.
This discordance however can be facilitated!
Imagine yourself on a boat drifting on a river (70% of you is after all water) and in this river there are obstacles of various significance and size. So far, the river has been taking you in its flow and you have been happy to follow it. You see however, that the direction where the flow is taking you is not where you want to go. So you decide to become the oarsman and direct the course 'of the river of life'. This decision however means rowing/going against the stream or off-stream and that off-course is not easy and causes the frictions.
With good intentions we started but then comes the difficult part, holding on to the new course something, which can be very difficult depending how radical we wanted change to happen
Cause and effect, when we steer in another direction from whichever angle be it body, mind or spirit you may expect that everything will change with it and that this change can have pleasant but also have unexpected side effects on a physical level.
Nevertheless change does not stop with us as individuals, society is changing, business is changing, and the world is changing. How does that affect us? To what extend does pollution and radiation change/influence us? On a sunny day most people feel better, lighter. On thick cloudy days people tend to be moodier… This illustrates that not only our inner environment is solely responsible for shifts within us. External factors shouldn’t be underestimated in our wellbeing.
Osteopathic body coaching is a treatment that doesn’t cure but facilitates the change processes. Osteopathic body coaching helps to align the streams so that sailing the new course becomes more comfortable or handleable. Osteopathic body coaching also helps the oarsman to find his/her potential through re-alignment of the physical, fluid (we are 70% water) and energetic bodies.
Are you suffering from back pain...?
Is there a part of you that after months still doesn’t want to heal properly...?
Do your shoulders feel cramped up...?
Are headaches a daily nuisance...?
Do you have symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome...?
Are you suffering from an unexplained depression...?
